ready, set . . . go!

Scout spends a good portion of her waking hours racing an imaginary horse through the house. Are we the only ones who have a cat that mostly moves at a thunderous gallop?

I noticed Hook usually does a wild sprint after leaving the litter box. I think what he left in there is so terrible he needs to escape it and runs and hides.

No imaginary horse, but I'm pretty sure our dog thinks that if she runs fast enough from one end of the room to the other, she'll be able to pass through the door.

We never thought of it as racing an imaginary horse (we call it her "monster Mode") but, no, your cat isn't the only one. Many a calm evening has been disrupted by the THU-THU-THU-THUD of her monstering up and down the upstairs hallway.

Our cat does exactly the same thing. But pretty much waits until we're winding down for the night to really go for it.
