True story - I totally had a dream where I went to pet what I thought was a cat and it was a giant rat! Yikes! No more caffeine before bed.

So this note was timely when it was drawn, sorry it's not so timely as posted. Will Bebe be the closest I ever get to dog ownership? Quite possibly, because Chris is mean and hates dogs.

snow day!

Sooooo, we finally got the snow I'd been hoping for which meant that because roads were pretty bad I got to take two snow days off work. Weeeeee! But instead of doing all the things I should have, like get Chris's receipts together for tax time, I spent my day stimulating the economy by shopping online at Etsy pretty much all day. Am I a patriot or what? I did it for you America!

I would like to crawl into the toaster (or a closet or under the bed) just like Wiggles. Not to keep warm, but to hide from the all the stuff I need to get done.

happy birthday to me!

Yesterday was my birthday and I am now officially old.  We celebrated my being a year closer to death by ditching work and going to the zoo, despite the single digit temps outside.  I also got some awesome presents that I have already put to good use (gift cards! vegan cookbooks!  Bose ipod Sounddock!) and an awesome present that I have no idea when in the world I will have time to use (sewing machine!).  

Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday - even if you did it just 'cause Chris told you to!   :)
