note censored

My note today was a little too off-color for posting so I thought I'd post some good news instead. It was announced today that Chris was nominated for the Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award to be given out at the San Diego Comic-Con (otherwise known as our honeymoon destination) this July. Chris's dedication to drawing comics and unbelievable work ethic make me so proud of him, not just today, but everyday.

Substitute

Hey all! This is Chris posting today since Laura doesn't feel too bloggy today. She forgot her lunch bag at work today so you're stuck with a few of last week's. I usually try to draw her two or three lunch notes each day hoping she'll think at least one of them is funny. Since I have no opinion here are all of them from Friday and Monday. Take care, Chris

favorite note ever

I'm embarassed to admit the trashy book that kept me up way too late last night but this note is pretty accurate! Gotta love the cop sunglasses.

excavating my childhood

Lately I've been cleaning the tons of crap from my childhood out of my parent's basement. Yesterday I came home with all of my old cabbage patch dolls, which apparently inspired today's note!

brady's note

Sometimes when Chris is really tired, "Brady" (the teddy bear) will draw my lunch note.

stuffed animals

This one really made me laugh too. When we first started dating, Chris was only drawing for two or three hours a day. He draws for about 14 hours a day now (sometimes more), so these little notes become a lot more significant the less time we get to hang out together.
