r.i.p. stitches

Before Charlie, we had a goldfish named Stitches. Stitches was with us for a little over three years. It may be possible that I'm the only (adult) person who's ever cried when their goldfish died, but that little guy had a lot of personality.

he's a honey of an o



The wierder or goofier the note, the more tired I know Chris is when he draws it. I leave for work at 6:30 am, so he usually draws my notes in the wee hours of the morning before I go.

One of my favorite things about my lunch notes is how Chris draws the two of us. Normally we look quite cute. I'm not sure why he drew himself with a ginormous head in this one. I swear he's actually quite proportional.

swamp thing


We got a wicked storm last night here in the St. Louis area. It usually takes about four drops of rain to turn our backyard into marshland so needless to say today's note was inspired by our yard this morning.
